What I learned in class so far.....

    Since the Marine Animal Power Point Presentations, my class has been learning about the beach and doing water testing experiments as well as making our blogs and websites for the Web 2.0 Project, and in the meantime doing Reading Plus. The Web 2.0 Project is making the websites and making blogs. The purpose of the project is to get ahead and ready for the 8th grade science FCAT because on the FCAT there will be questions on it that have to do with the ocean ecosystem, the project will last for 6 weeks which will be enough time to create the entire website.

The Beach

     On Saturday October 22, 2011, 7th grade students of Aventura City of Excellence School went to Hollywood Beach to gather information for a technology project which involved creating a website. The students collected data about the sand, tides, water, and ecosystem of the beach on a worksheet given by the teacher, after the students finished the worksheet, they hung out with their friends and walked up to the sand bar in the shallow water. I was one of the students that did go the beach, along with the rest of my group (Robin, Olga).
